Location: On the sixth marble panel on the wall to the right of the so-called "Empress's Lodge" in the western gallery.
Material: Marble surface, 6th century.
Dimensions: The entire drawing measures 26.5 cm in height by 19.3 cm in width, at 150 cm from the floor.
Condition: Distinct carvings; unbroken and not overlapping with others marks.
Technique: Incised.
Description: Contour drawing of two crosses. The first is a Latin cross with a very long vertical arm, emerging from near the middle of the long side of an isosceles triangle. The second is a Greek cross, much smaller, inscribed within a smaller triangle of the same height as the one on the left.
Attribution: #1: «Golgotha» cross; #2: ordinary Greek cross. A universal sign of Christian presence and a direct appeal for divine aid, along with a powerful apotropaic function.
Publications: none.
Commentary: It can be assumed that the two triangles represent Golgotha Hill, from which the crosses rise. In this context, the small cross could be interpreted as the mark of an illiterate pilgrim.
Date: Unknown.
